About Me

Hi, my name is Alexander, and I am currently studying culinary management at Humber Polytechnic. I am passionate about food, teamwork, and creating high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. Through school and 5 years of hands-on kitchen experience, I have developed strong skills in organization, food preparation, time management, and leadership. I have experience supervising kitchen operations, managing inventory, working expo, preparing food for large parties, and helping keep the kitchen running smoothly. I have worked on events serving between 200 and 500 guests, which taught me how important communication, teamwork, and staying calm under pressure are. My goal is to continue learning and growing in the culinary industry while building a career in a professional kitchen.

My internship Plan

My ideal internship location is Germain Hotels in Toronto because I want to gain experience in a professional hotel kitchen known for high standards and quality service. During my internship, I want to improve my speed, organization, communication, and confidence while learning more about banquet service, large-scale food preparation, and working in a fast-paced environment. Because I already have experience with kitchen organization, inventory, expo, and preparing food for large groups, I believe Germain Hotels would be a great place for me to continue developing my culinary skills and learn from experienced chefs. I would guarantee my success by arriving prepared for every shift, maintaining a positive attitude, staying organized, following instructions, and always being willing to learn and help wherever needed.
